FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Leading Machine Tool Manufacturer Specifies GE Fanuc CNCs to
Control New Division's Production Machinery and Machining Centers

WACONIA, Minn. -- June 4, 2003--  Milltronics Manufacturing, one of the largest machine tool builders in North America, has specified computer numerical controllers (CNCs) from GE Fanuc Automation, an affiliate of GE Industrial Systems, on equipment manufactured and distributed by its new International Machine Tools division. Milltronics recently introduced completely redesigned high-speed, high-performance machining centers. Combining these new machine designs with GE Fanuc's Series 0i-B control, Milltronics launched this new division to serve larger manufacturing users, mold shops, and high production environments that prefer the GE Fanuc products.

"GE Fanuc is a leading CNC manufacturer, and specifying these controls on our new line of production machinery and machining centers will allow us to penetrate new markets, including automotive, aerospace and other industries that demand machine controls from a proven, well-respected company," said Benjamin Rashleger, vice-president of International Machine Tools, a division of Milltronics Manufacturing. Rashleger added that Milltronics was one of the earliest users of the GE Fanuc Series 0i-B controls and that the company has been pleased with the support it has received from GE Fanuc as well as the ease of use and reliability of the controllers.

"A user can turn on these controls and not worry about them for years," Rashleger said. "Many of our customers will already be running GE Fanuc controls and will know that, by purchasing one of our new American-made machines, they are getting a solid control on equally solid equipment."

The Milltronics International Machine Tools division will specify GE Fanuc's Series 0i-B and 18i-B CNCs with Alpha-i Series servos and spindles drive systems. The first machines will be available for early July delivery.

By integrating exceptional hardware with years of experience in the machine tool segment, GE Fanuc CNC systems deliver superior performance, continuous availability, extensive control information, and true improvements in machine tool productivity. Innovative features include open architecture, diagnostics, and interactive programming combined with the reliability that makes GE Fanuc a standard in CNC technology.

Also specified by Milltronics, Alpha i Series servo and spindle motor systems from GE Fanuc provide improved speed torque curves, higher continuous and maximum speeds, and higher resolution feedback for greater machine tool productivity. Additionally, the Alpha i Series offers easier maintenance and improved reliability as a result of better accessibility, integration, and efficiency.
