Wonderware Releases New ABCIP DAServer
New Version Offers ControlLogix® Support
LAKE
FOREST, Calif., April 7, 2003 -- Wonderware, an operating
unit of Invensys plc, today announced the release of a new
and enhanced DataAccessServer (DAServer) supporting Rockwell
ControlLogix® controllers.
DAServers
are Wonderware's next-generation I/O servers and a significant
part of Wonderware's FactorySuite A²™ product family,
an extension of the existing FactorySuite® product line.
The "A²" signifies Invensys' ArchestrA™
automation and information software architecture.
Wonderware's
DAServers are built on the ArchestrA architecture and offer
enhanced communication diagnostics and performance. Each DAServer
is designed to provide connectivity between client applications
based on Wonderware's SuiteLink™ protocol and OPC®
and DDE protocols running on the Microsoft Windows® 2000
and Microsoft XP™ operating systems, as well as data
devices supported by the specific protocol being translated.
Wonderware's
ABCIP DAServer v1.2 retains the extensive functionality of
its earlier ABCIP DAServer v1.1 release but adds support for
ControlLogix user-defined structures.
