Invensys’
2003 Wonderware International WonderWorld(SM) User Conference
Exceeds Expectations
Conference Held in United States, Europe and Asia-Pacific
LAKE
FOREST, Calif., July 15, 2003 -- Wonderware, a business unit
of Invensys Systems, Inc., today announced that its 2003 WonderWorld(SM)
user conference exceeded expectations with record-setting
attendance. The conference, held throughout the U.S. and for
the first time in Europe and the Asia-Pacific, was designed
for control and application engineers, plant managers, maintenance
planners, information systems personnel specializing in manufacturing
production and systems integrators.
Attended
by more than 4,000 people worldwide, WonderWorld 2003 displayed
how manufacturing customers can significantly increase engineering
productivity and agility with the FactorySuite A²™
product line, leveraging Invensys’ new ArchestrA™
software architecture.
“Considering
that this was the first international WonderWorld conference,
we are very impressed with the number of people who attended
and we consider the event a great success,” said Thomas
Muth, FactorySuite product marketing manager for Wonderware.
“There was a lot of excitement surrounding FactorySuite
A² product offerings, such as Wonderware’s new
Industrial Application Server, and the plant intelligence
solutions in particular.”
In
addition, WonderWorld participants learned how Wonderware®
plant intelligence solutions provide manufacturers with new
engineering capabilities for enhancing operational reporting,
efficiency and equipment optimization. They also were introduced
to how the latest software additions can lower engineering
costs for FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance solutions and real-time
solutions for collaborative manufacturing.
“This
conference was extremely beneficial and had a direct impact
on my decision to recommend the use of Wonderware products
at my company,” said Edward Boyd, a programmer from
Mckee Foods Corp.
WonderWorld
Europe was attended by a variety of users including Johnson
& Johnson Italy and Danieli Automation, one of the world’s
largest equipment suppliers to plants in the metals industry.
The WonderWorld Asia-Pacific conference was also attended
by prominent customers such as Samsung and the LG Group.
The
2003 WonderWorld conference offered new product updates, structured
networking opportunities and detailed explanations of advanced
concepts. Participants discussed industrial automation approaches
with a host of product developers and system experts.
